Prepare Your Interview Within One Day

Morning: Break down the job description and prepare your self-introduction

Ask yourself some questions and to find the ideal candidates for this position:

  • Why did you apply for this position in this company?
  • What hard/soft skills is this position looking for?
  • What is your understanding of this position?
  • Other candidates' interview experiences/sharing from Reddit/LinkedIn/Blind.

Then, reviewing your past experiences, prepare a self-introduction and 2-3 projects/cases, including the hard/soft skills this position requires.

You can either use the STAR method or the CARL method.

Afternoon: industry and company research

One sentence to summarize why you need to do this: tell your story in their language while seeing their world through your own lens.

  • Your understanding of the trends of this industry;
  • Why did you choose this company?
  • Your target company's business overview, customer profile, key product lines, corporate culture, and recent news.
  • How to competitors' performance, including products/business features, growing strategies, similarities and differences.

Night: Review, Practice, and Rehearse

The evening is about reinforcing what you've prepared and building your confidence.

  • Review keynotes and insights, including JD breakdown, self-introduction, project stories, and research.
  • Practice with confidence.
  • Mock Q&A simulation.

After you've completed everything, give yourself a break and get a good night's sleep. Stay calm, don’t stress — good luck, you’ve got this!
